I Hate Systems

313 Compass Vs Krager (Part 5)

"Dammit!" Upon hearing his System's desperate shout, Krager wasn't a fool, immediately knowing that something bad had happened. He quickly began to move towards the egg but was abruptly stopped, shocking him to the core.

Mecha!

Compass Carburettor truly activated his Warrior and Puppeteer Path's powers to the limit, instantly condensing a transparent sphere around Krager, trapping him within.

Krager swung his sword, unleashing a crescent moon shaped beam of burst element, intending to tear up the barrier. But, all his imposing attack left was a shallow mark as the countless energy blade scales multiplied in number and sealed the gash.

They were individual pieces that just layered themselves over one another, capable of attaching and detaching when necessary. And when his attack landed, only those energy blade scales at the contact area shattered, absorbing all the power behind the attack.

They disintegrated in response but managed to easily handle such a fearsome attack.

Grunting in response, Krager unleashed a lot of other abilities, shocked when he realised that Compass Carburettor's entire scheme until now was to actually hold back during the fight.

After all, the energy blade scales that he was facing now were not only tough, but they also moved freely, taking on a variety of shapes. And within the sphere, they began to rotate, sharply raising the wind speed, immediately unleashing a tornado.

Krager turned into the turtle, hurriedly unleashing the Static Force to destroy the rapidly spinning energy blade scales that were pushing the air towards the sides while creating a vacuum around him.

Instantly, everything within turned still as all the kinetic energy was absorbed by the Static Force. But at this time, Krager's turtle face turned pale with fright, seeing a layer of energy blade form on his body.

It didn't harm him but only expanded in length, coming into contact with the area under the influence of Static Force, instantly causing all the stored force to be sent through the energy blade.

And if there was one complaint about the energy blade, it was that any type of force was capable of travelling through it. It was a good conductor of shockwaves.

"Fuck!" Krager screamed as the force rattled through his body, rupturing him instantly.

But, he was still a System Host, possessing immune against instant deaths. Coincidentally, some of the Static Force coursed through the energy blade first, fracturing it in a number of places that diverted the force from reaching his body to a certain extent.

It left him within an inch of his life, failing to kill him. He had avoided death as his healing ability took effect, rapidly healing him.

But in response, to avoid that instant death, most of the Beast Form System's Mental Energy had been expended.

"You survived the first time. But…" Compass Carburettor smirked, "What about the second?"

"No…no! No! NO!" Krager shouted as he saw the energy blade scales beginning to spin once again. Using the power of the ring embedded in his horn, he caused them to explode. But like sand, they regrouped as more and more of them appeared, continuing to spin as he began to gasp for air.

The four burst element barriers around him were constantly shredded apart by another batch of energy blade scales. And suddenly, the space within was filled by a volatile oil that instantly caught onto fire when a tiny lava fragment appeared within.

'He could do that?' Krager was shocked, gazing at the sky to see the sparks of lighting vanishing, 'Then, why did he use such attacks all along?'

In the Reality Marble, he could manifest any part of nature anywhere. It didn't have to make much sense. Normally, making it a solid nature created a stable Reality Marble. After all, it imitated nature. And, balance was what kept nature existing.

But, if his creations within interacted destructively with one another, that would lead to the Reality Marble's collapse. It was not to mention such actions consumed way more Mental Energy than usual.

But, what Compass Carburettor did till now had shown that even though he was capable of manipulating terrain, there were obvious limits. Moreover, he was incapable of doing any pinpoint creations.

It was apparent as to how the lava splashed out of the sea of lava but was easily thwarted by Krager. It was because as long as he observed the lave streams, he was able to guess as to which direction the lava geyser might happen from.

Things in nature had a flow to them. And the instincts of beasts were capable of perceiving them the most, not to mention Krager that was the Host to the Beast Form System. But now, things abruptly appeared within the sphere of the energy blade.

Having planted a misconception in the mind of Krager, Compass Carburettor had taken action when the time was right.

The piece of lava acted as the spark that caused the volatile oil to explode, drowning Krager within. Coincidentally, as a wave of explosion rushed at him, a similar explosion appeared from another side, clashing with one another, negating each other to a certain extent.

Even though his body was almost destroyed, there was a sliver of his life left as the healing ability took action, regenerating his body. But, even after he managed to regenerate, Krager gasped for air but failed to get any.

It was vacuum now, causing him to suffocate as super hot oil residue splashed onto him as his body was forced to be stuck in the centre of the vacuum. Using Directional Misalignment, Compass Carburettor ensured Krager's body perfectly stayed within the centre, trapped.

The Beast Form System's Mental Energy reserves were at rock bottom now, but Krager wasn't dead yet.

After all, Compass Carburettor was focused on something else entirely, holding Anthozoa in his hands as he condensed Secret Society in all six bullets and shot them at the egg that landed atop a patch of grass.

All six bullets seeped into the egg that began to absorb the essence of the world around it, soaking in the environment. And slowly, it began to pulse, emanating a suffocating pressure.

In a matter of seconds, the egg cracked before a tiny dragon hatched. It was weak, but when it casually glanced at Krager, his body exploded. It was the same punishment a System Host or System Slayer faced when they tried to reveal information about Systems to others.

And in Krager's current state, he was unable to avoid it, dying, as the immunity against instant death didn't apply to this ability created by the strongest of Systems to protect their identity.

After all, currently, the Reality Marble resembled the System World.

And this dragon had hatched in such a place.
