Harry Potter and the Legend of the Temple

Chapter 23: Catch a Banban for experiments

Looking at this pile of miserable scenes, Louis couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.

He originally thought that the seventh time would have a good effect, but the final outcome was still the same. . .

"Sure enough, is it still too difficult?"

Hermione became a little discouraged when she saw this situation. She wanted to invent a new potion, but it couldn't be that easy.

Louis held the wand and carefully observed the remaining liquid on the ground. Suddenly, he wiped his finger on the ground. This move really startled Hermione beside him.

"Louis, be careful!"

The powerful corrosive force instantly invaded Louis' fingers, and heart-breaking pain spread throughout his entire sensory nerves.

"The water is as clear as a spring!"

Hermione reacted in an instant, and the rolling spring water rushed towards Louis' fingers stained with liquid. After cleaning them, she took some white fresh water from her bag and dripped it on the injured fingers.

"You are crazy, this potion will destroy your whole hand." Hermione's reproachful voice came, looking at Louis, where some bones were already exposed.

But Lewis's face was extremely excited. After just the touch, he knew what the problem was.

"The blood of the fire dragon, the egg of the vixen, and the horn of the poisonous horned beast are all masculine poisons, and the blending of these three yang things will only make the masculinity stronger and stronger." Louis spoke faster, and the more he spoke, the more masculine he was. The more excited you are.

"What?" Hermione was confused after hearing this, and reached out to touch Louis' head to see if the brain was burned by the remaining liquid just now.

"I'm fine, Hermione, I'm just."

"So excited!"

"Hermione, do we have ice or cold ingredients?" Louis asked, with a strong light in his eyes.

"I'll look for it." Although Hermione didn't know what Louis was planning, this first-grade boy brought her surprises one after another. What if he was right?

"Well, there is only one, Ice Star Grass. It is taken from Godric's Hollow and is only suitable for growing in cold weather." Hermione threw the Ice Star Grass to Louis.

I need a pot for making potions. Louis thought this in his mind.

"Boom!" Another cauldron appeared in front of Lewis out of thin air. The Room of Requirement has this advantage. It can produce whatever the person needs at will, except food.

No one knows what the magic of the Room of Requirement is like, or who set up this room. It just exists on the eighth floor of Hogwarts and will only appear when it is really needed.

But no matter who set it up, the magic involved is extremely advanced, including space magic, one of the most difficult magic fields.

Lewis still followed the same steps as before, but before adding the next dose of ingredients, he threw an ice star grass inside.

The liquid that was originally extremely violent slowly calmed down. Louis took out the stirring stick and stirred three times clockwise, then three times counterclockwise, and then three times clockwise, repeating the cycle.

Until the color of the liquid gradually turns into the emerald green mentioned in the book.

"You did it, Louis."

Hermione looked at the puddle of emerald green liquid, her breathing became rapid, and she didn't expect that the problem that no one had solved before would be solved by Louis.

"Not yet." Lewis shook his head, "Without experimental subjects for experiments, we still have no way of knowing whether it is successful or not."

"But where can I find the experimental subject at this late hour?" Hermione looked at Louis and trembled involuntarily. She didn't want to do the experiment by herself.

"There is a good test subject." Louis reminded Hermione, "Do you know what scientists use for experiments?"

"Guinea pig? You mean?" Hermione's mind was smart enough, and she suddenly thought of something, "Ron's Scabbers?"

"Bingo!" Louis nodded to her. Rats have tenacious vitality, rapid reproduction, and are mammals, so generally speaking, rats are experimental subjects.

Ron's Scabbers is special, because strictly speaking, Scabbers is not a mouse. He is an Animagus, and his real body is Peter Pettigrew.

"But this way, Ron..." Hermione was a little undecided. After all, she was Ron's pet, and Scabbers could be said to have stayed in their Weasley family for nearly eleven years.

"There is a saying: devote yourself to science. I think Ron will understand." Louis patted Hermione on the shoulder and said sincerely.

If you don't catch it now, it will escape near the end of next semester. Louis thought to himself.

If Louis hadn't known that Scabbers was the traitor Peter Pettigrew, he wouldn't have chosen Scabbers so decisively. But he was also afraid that something would go wrong. If Peter Pettigrew died here, how would he prove Sirius' innocence next year?

After Louis' persuasion, Hermione finally agreed with Louis' decision, but only asked Louis to catch it himself while she hid in the Room of Requirement.

Louis returned to the Gryffindor common room wearing the Invisibility Cloak, and he slowly walked to the second-year dormitory.

"The Alajo hole opens."

He muttered a spell in a low voice, and the door of the second-year dormitory slowly opened, and he saw a dormitory that was even messier than the first-year dormitory.

Ron's bed was next to Harry, and next to him was the somewhat chubby Neville, and then the demolition wizard Seamus and his friend Dean Thomas.

"Come here Banban!"

There was no movement at all, and Lewis didn't expect the flying spell to have any effect on living objects.

He put away his wand and tiptoed to Ron's bed. Looking at Ron's sleeping state, he grabbed the protruding part of the bed. (Well, not little Ron.)

"The lock tongue seals the throat."

Louis hurriedly chanted a spell to the caught Scabbers, Peter Pettigrew, for fear that he would make a little noise and wake up other people in the dormitory.

"Don't worry, I'm just arresting you for an experiment. As long as you cooperate, you'll be fine." Louis said to him with a sneer. He never had a good impression of people who betrayed their friends and brothers.

Returning to the Room of Requirement, Peter Pettigrew looked a little depressed. As a mouse, he couldn't make a squeaking sound.

"What's wrong with it?" Hermione looked a little strange when she saw Scabbers.

"It's okay. If you think it's noisy, shut it up." Lewis said. He picked up the medicine in the pot and poured two drops into Banban's mouth.

The mouse was extremely resistant, with its teeth and claws showing and its head shaking from side to side.

"Hmm, I should catch a cat, or use a full-body binding spell, or else use Legilimency to control it."

"Louis, you're crazy." Hermione was a little dissatisfied with his words.

"You're kidding, Hermione."

But after being frightened by Lewis, Banban really calmed down.

"Hermione, look at its toes. There should be one missing toe on that side." Louis said as he dropped the potion into Scabbers' mouth.

"What are you... Huh? Really." Hermione grabbed the spotted toes.

"I just found it when I was catching it." Louis said casually.

I saw that the missing toes of the mouse gradually grew bones, and then the flesh slowly recovered and hair gradually grew.

Louis and Hermione looked at each other, this time they finally succeeded.
